These cat creatures live in just about every corner of Umeon, known for their hoarding tendencies, taking anything they can carry in their large mouths to build their nests. They willingly eat anything but prefer meat, usually eoa and io they can easily catch. They do not make the best of pets, as one will attract more, or will just fill their faces with items before taking off into the wild. Belinques are covered in bioluminescent markings that they can activate whenever they please, but usually at night when they are most active and scavenging for items, usually to let others know where they are, and that they have found something of interest.
Heka helps produce the halo of water floating above their heads, created by gathering moisture from the air, used to help hydrate them in any climate. In folklore they are considered saviours in the desert, given their inclination to gravitate towards taothomet kind, however, they don’t want to share their water but rather harass and torment the individual for fun.
